Code Blue is a work in progress that has gone through various stages of evolution over the last three years. I have decided to write a chapter a month and release it on the internet. Unlike Stephen King however, I'm not under the illusion that I can make money out of this one! This is simply a bit of playing around. When it's all complete I will compile the chapters into one book, complete with a fancy cover and offer it as a download. Any budding graphic designers are welcome to submit their designs for the book, however due to the fact that I'm not charging for the book I can't afford to pay you. You've been warnd! Code Blue is just like those old fashioned serials my parents used to listen to the on the radio. The final version will be packaged along with a scene breakdown, treatment and screenplay and available for screenwriting courses.

SYNOPSIS

Detective Lynda Hudson and Danny Macloud are both tired of police work. Lynda has come from the Australian Federal Police to the Victorian State Police Force in a state of disenchantment after a worldwide child pornography investigation is suddenly terminated. Faced with the choice of shuffling paperwork or reassignment, she takes the latter and is assigned to Victorian Homicide in Melbourne.
Danny is single and increasingly morose on the subject of women after a failed relationship with Daina Macintosh. He has sworn off women forever until Lynda comes into his life as a new partner.
Daina Macintosh is an anchor for a top rating current affairs program, Danny's former lover; she is trying to raise her five year old daughter, Reneé. Her career is on the rise, unlike Danny and Lynda's which are both at a stalemate.
When a suspected people smuggler turns up dead in a warehouse, Lynda's curiosity is roused and when Daina becomes the subject of what looks to be the same organised pornography ring that Lynda was fighting, Danny feels it is his job to find the perpetrators before they get to Daina's daughter, Reneé.
Lynda has extensive experience in dealing with the porn kings, Danny is mad as hell anyway, and Daina is facing the story of her career but is their combined experience enough to save them from an evil that has taken root in the peaceful metropolis of Melbourne, or will they all fall victim to the Company?
Based in Melbourne and using actual places and locations, Code Blue is a non-stop action/adventure that leaves the reader guessing until the last moment. Who is playing whom?
