Who Am I?
Resume

This page showcases old archives at the moment. Due to time constraints, I have been unable to complete any nonfiction articles. Perhaps in future I will have time! For the moment however you can browse older articles from the last few years.

I hope to have single articles here in the future but for the moment the articles are available as single PDF files which contain multiple articles written for various clients.
Enjoy!

BoxPlanet.com.au no longer exists but I completed a great deal of articles and movie reviews for this website. It catered for thirty something parents and was based in Australia and run by Kylie Ardill and Vanessa Williams. These two women were separated by a thousand miles or more but managed to run a successful website between them. The fact that it close prematurely is a great loss to the web community.
I wrote a series of travel articles for them as well as movie reviews. They were kind enough to send me a book of ten tickets, and in return I submitted movie reviews. There are other BoxPlanet articles floating around but I will have to extract them and post them up.

Localtraders.com can be found but from what I can work out, the site has changed hands and is no longer in the hands of Fred. I was contacted by Fred and commissioned to write a series of articles about the different suburbs of Melbourne, Australia where he was selling advertising space. The articles were historical in nature and required a fair degree of research to complete. They complemented the advertisements and Fred and I enjoyed a successful working relationship as a result. The Localtraders I worked for however no longer exists and the archived work is all that remains.

Some of my earliest published work was in The Box, a student magazine at Box Hill TAFE. It was spurned by quite a few students at the time but I utilised it to the best of my abilities and learned the craft of finding story ideas, approaching editors and writing to spec, all valuable work experience. You can find all of those articles here along with one submitted to the Herald Sun titled Outsourcing your Resources and Aysha's Story, which was accepted by Collectively Subconscious, another student anthology.

My first published work was curiously enough, not print published but web published when as a result of a class assignment on favourite movie directors I stumbled across the Australian Jodie Foster Website, which no longer exists anymore. I offered to add to the content and the owner, Mark Freeman gladly accepted my offer. The rest is history I guess, I became an integral part of the site and went on to write movie essays, as opposed to reviews, profiles and in the end became the writer in residence. Some of my duties involved writing to her agent when we submitted birthday best wishes and best wishes on the birth of her son. The articles are now archived here as a matter of interest, feel free to download and read.

More to come soon!
